Control of the issuance of licenses under regulations for private tourist reception facilities ¹

• Private tourist hospitality facilities must be located on property used for residential or agricultural purposes.
• The total number of licenses issued to the authorized person for a property shall not exceed (3) licenses.

When applying for a license, you will need: ¹

• Have Saudi Arabian nationality.
• An electronic title deed or electronic lease evidencing ownership or use of the property covered by the declaration, if applicable.
• The owner of the shared property where the private reception facilities are located has no objection to letting it on a day-to-day basis.
• Updated official data on applicants and private tourist hospitality facilities.

Applicants must complete the application form for a private hospitality unit license through the Ministry of Tourism’s licensing portal: Click here.

(If the number of licenses issued to one person exceeds 8 licenses, a valid contract with a licensed tourism hospitality facility management service provider must be submitted to manage the authorized facility and cover its validity period.)

After completing the application form, the financial fee for the license must be paid according to the table below.

After obtaining a license, the licensor must comply with the following regulations ¹

• Licensing controls and requirements.
• To perform services in accordance with the license issued to him.
• Others are not allowed to use the license.
• Decisions, instructions and notifications issued by the Ministry of Tourism.
• To enable, cooperate with and facilitate Ministry of Tourism inspectors to perform their duties.
• The name or logo of the Ministry of Tourism may not be used in any advertising or marketing activities unless approved by the Ministry of Tourism.

Authorizers must also comply with the following requirements to ensure service quality: ¹

• The basic information specified in the permit is clearly displayed to visitors in private tourism reception facilities.
• Don’t use expired claims.
• The data and images in the statement correspond to the actual conditions of the private facilities published or announced.
• Highlight the general control instructions for the use of private tourist hospitality facilities through tour and tourism service providers and in a prominent place within the facility, provided that these instructions include (use of parking, place to dump garbage, instructions for use) equipment, prohibited actions, lost Item handling, customer service phone number, tourist emergency phone number, etc.).
• Apply general health rules and requirements to private tourist hospitality facilities and all their services and their employees.
• Observe the general cleanliness of all equipment and facilities of the private tourist reception facility and the protection of the environment (ventilation, cleanliness and safety of furniture and equipment, safety of ceilings and walls, etc.).

Certificate holders must also comply with the following requirements to ensure the integrity of information and data submitted to the Ministry of Tourism ¹

• Provide any information or data to the Ministry of Tourism within the prescribed period and by any means it deems appropriate.
• Update data in the electronic systems of the Ministry of Tourism and data on private tourist reception facilities.

In addition, the franchisor must commit to transparency in the prices of services, listing in Arabic and English a price list of services provided, including statutory fees and taxes, and adhering to these prices by advertising through approved tours and agencies. business.

Persons authorized to operate private hospitality units must comply with the following requirements to ensure the safety of visitors ¹

• Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of travel information and do not share it for any purpose without my consent.
• Comply with the regulations and instructions of the competent authorities regarding safety, health and environmental aspects, safety measures, first aid, evacuation, etc. and take all measures and precautions.
• Except for handling matters through the competent authorities in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, no action may be taken to force tourists to leave the unit after registering for entry.
• The unit in which the visitor lives is not allowed to be opened without his permission, whether he is in it or not, except in coordination with the competent authorities.
• Ensure the safety of visitors from hazards such as (fire, gas leaks, spoiled food and drinks, etc.)
• Provide safety precautions in accordance with the controls and requirements of the competent authority.
• Provide safety tools such as (fire extinguishers, fire caps, smoke detectors, first aid kits)
• Immediately report any incidents, if any, related to the safety of tourists, private tourism hospitality facilities or their employees directly to the competent authorities.
• Visitors without valid identification will not be accommodated, but their originals will be checked upon check-in and verified against the booking information, without requesting or copying. Proof of identity.

Authorizers must also comply with the following rights protection requirements related to booking and payment procedures ¹

• Remove offers and advertisements for private tour facilities from electronic booking platforms when services are disrupted.
• Visitors may not solicit or accept any payment from travel and tourism service providers other than through them.
• No additional services may be provided to tourists unless announced in advance by the travel and tourism service provider.
• Enables tourists to enter and leave private tour facilities at times specified in the booking document issued by the travel and tourism service provider.
