Twos is a to-do app that uses AI to suggest actions to complete your tasks
The overall promise of companies working on AI-based productivity tools is create solutions that would do a task for you. Some of the first demos we’ve seen. They really don’t do well in keeping those promises..
A to-do list app called two is addressing this problem in another way. When you add a task, you can suggest actions that may be relevant. Examples include adding a link to a site or helping you form text to complete a task. The idea is to recommend sites or applications to complete your tasks.
To use the AI-powered suggestions feature, you just need to type your tasks as you normally would, and the app’s AI model will check if you can complete a suggestion. For example, if you type “Buy paper napkins,” you will receive suggested links to Amazon, Walmart, and eBay with paper napkins as search terms.
If you write about a birthday or anniversary, the app will ask you to add a reminder to your calendar, text the person, or buy them a gift card.
The app currently has 27 integrations with apps like Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Instacart, Expedia, Google Search, Google Maps, Google Flights, Uber Eats, Contacts Apps, Calling, Messages, Email, IMDb, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube , ZocDoc. , Ticketmaster and StubHub. These cover a wide range of use cases, including shopping, restaurants, food, music, movies, reminders and events.
The feature works well in most cases, but right now it suggests US-focused services for categories like shopping, ticket purchasing, and food delivery. The company must add a better location for people outside the country.
The challenge for Twos will be to get this feature working reliably so that people can use the AI feature repeatedly. Only then can the app capture the interest of users who use apps like Apple Notes and get them to migrate to Twos.
Twos was founded in 2021 by former Google engineer Parker Klein and Joe Steilberg. The application currently has more than 25,000 active users. It is available on the web, Android and iOS and is free to use. Users can optionally activate “More” functions so they can add tags and hyperlinks, create a custom home screen, take advantage of an automatic sorting feature, and take advantage of templates. Each feature is a one-time purchase and is currently $2 per feature.
Last year, the startup also introduced an AI assistant that helps you with list creation. And if you want to see what else is out there, other apps like Hypelist are taking advantage AI models to help people create their recommendation lists.
Personal opinion:
“Twos is a great step forward in the field of task management apps. By using AI to provide smart ideas on how to complete tasks, the app can help users improve their productivity significantly. This feature makes the app more than just a to-do list, but a tool that helps organize time and make better decisions. If the AI continues to improve, Twos could become the go-to tool for users looking to manage their tasks more effectively.”
